Public Facing SharePoint 2010 Sites

A while back I featured a public facing SharePoint 2010 web site created by Oakland County, Michigan for their Parks and Recreations department.  The site called Destination Oakland combined some great design along with jQuery to produce a very impressive web site.   One interesting feature of the site is that it automatically switches the graphical elements based upon the season.  If you take a look at the site now you will see that it has a fall theme.

Oakland County has since published a few more public facing websites using SharePoint 2010.  Check out their great work below:

Oakland Saves

Brooksie Way Half Marathon

Oakland Edge Adult Hockey Tournament

Proud to be a Vet

I am very excited to see SharePoint 2010 used for such impressive public facing web sites.  I want to recognize a very good friend of mine, Matt Dempsey, who has been instrumental in building out these great sites for Oakland County.  He has some very impressive graphical and technical skills.   Great job Matt and the team at Oakland County!
